Business Analyst


Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months +

Responsibilities:


  • Act as the interface between CMS business teams and IT project managers, ensuring alignment of business needs with technical solutions.
  • Collaborate on business process modeling and support the design and enhancement of IT tools aligned with these processes.
  • Draft detailed functional specifications for applications, gather business validation, and help prioritize changes across various application releases.
  • Validate IT functional analyses and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Coordinate and perform testing and validation of IT developments alongside business stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain effective communication channels between business teams, IT, and other business analysts.
  • Oversee Master Data Management and business process governance, ensuring data quality and process compliance.
  • Provide user support, prepare training materials, and conduct user training sessions for the applications.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance and support of business-critical applications.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in the energy sector.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including writing system requirements and translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Strong affinity with IT systems and technologies including frontend/backend systems, B2B messaging, web services, and XML.
  • Knowledge of the electricity market and energy sector processes is a strong asset.
  • Experience in drafting and executing test plans.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a structured and rigorous approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work assertively and effectively across teams.
  • Proactive planning and organizational abilities with a focus on customer needs and flexibility to adapt.
