Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid, 3 days a week in person)

Contract: 6 months +

Responsibilities:

• Drive the transition towards business-owned data domains, assigning clear accountability to domain owners and supporting them with dedicated data stewards.
• Lead the design and delivery of new data products, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and working closely with Data Product Owners.
• Define and communicate a compelling vision for data products, aligned with business objectives.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including terms of reference and operational processes.
• Manage scope, budget, and timelines for the data program; chair the program’s steering committee.
• Oversee the structured setup of data products (scoping, delivery monitoring, business/IT coordination).
• Support the formation and enablement of data product teams.
• Plan and coordinate training initiatives to build data literacy, in collaboration with internal content providers.
• Coach Data Product Owners, Domain Owners, and Data Stewards in their roles.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data management, governance, architecture, and modeling.
• Proven track record as a Program Manager, especially in data-related initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Data Mesh principles and business-led data product development.
• Strong experience leading governance bodies (e.g., steering committees) and coordinating across departments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with both technical experts and senior management.
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities; adaptable and diplomatic.
• Master’s degree, preferably in engineering, IT, or a related field.
