SecOps Engineer


The Federal Public Service (FPS) Finances invests in digital progress, from cybersecurity to complex development projects and network improvements. We develop applications that make life easier for citizens and businesses, such as tools for tax declarations, customs formalities and fund management. Our ICT department carries out projects that support the various departments and manages the IT infrastructure, including more than 850 databases. In short, we form the backbone of digital services within the FPS Finances, always focused on quality and efficiency. This position is critical to ensure smooth operations and effective troubleshooting within our development teams. Additionally, a key aspect of this role is the knowledge transfer to our junior DevSecOps team members, ensuring they are equipped to manage and resolve similar issues independently in the future. Collaborate closely with development teams to quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines. Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions and documentation to junior DevSecOps team members. Collaboration: Work closely with various development teams, understanding their workflows and processes to provide tailored support that aligns with their specific needs and challenges. Ensure this documentation is easily accessible to all team members. You have a bachelor or Master Degree in IT or equivalent through experience You show at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps engineering role, with significant exposure to GitLab, ArgoCD, Vault, Kubernetes and Artifactory. You have a proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues within CI/CD pipelines, Version Control systems, and artifact management solutions. Basic Java knowledge is needed You have a proven experience in Training & Mentorship: Experience in mentoring and training junior engineers, with a focus on knowledge transfer and capacity building. You are French or Dutch speaking and have an excellent knowledge of English.
