Key responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee monthly (P&L, BS, CF, CAPEX) and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Review and approve variance analyses prepared by the BSC accounting team.
• Analyze and validate financial data (Cognos, ZBB, SCFD, BI) for reporting.
• Act as "Country Controller," ensuring legal statutory accounts meet local regulations.

Month-End & Closing

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for the country.
• Coordinate process stages, issue instructions, and resolve issues.
• Approve manual journal entries and provisions, liaising with departments as needed.
• Monitor daily financial results and implement corrective actions.

Control & Asset Management

• Track defined benefit plans, pensions, and provisions (e.g., claims/litigations).
• Ensure accurate shared base payment calculations and postings.
• Maintain systems and controls to safeguard assets and streamline financial activities.

Business Support & Projects

• Drive projects like segregation of duties, process redesign (LEAN), and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with local managers, BSC, and zone finance teams to standardize processes.

Audit Management

• Handle internal audit issues: review, validate, and monitor resolution.
• Coordinate external audits, address findings, and implement remediation plans.

This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight, making it ideal for a proactive finance professional.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance.
• 5-10 years of experience at a Big 4 firm or large company, ideally in accounting or audit.
• Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Cognos) and advanced Excel skills.
• Sharp analytical abilities and a well-organized approach.
• A proactive mindset to challenge the norm.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English, plus Dutch or French.
