We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting cutting-edge LAN, WLAN, and WAN solutions for our client in Brussels. Project Info:
- Duration: Until end of 2025, with a possibility of extension.
- Working Style: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site in Brussels, remaining remote).
- Location: Brussels centre
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, reliable LAN, WLAN, and WAN network solutions.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure for office sites globally.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network incidents, ensuring high service availability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., security, infrastructure, architecture) and external vendors to optimize network performance.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and industrialization of network services.
- Provide expert guidance on network segmentation, security, and performance tuning.
Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience with LAN/WLAN/WAN technologies, including:
- Cisco Catalyst & Catalyst Center
- Cisco Meraki and Viptela (SD-WAN)
- Aruba Wireless
- Network Access Control: Cisco ISE and/or Aruba ClearPass
- Expertise in wireless networking, including guest access, radio frequency planning (6GHz), and site surveys.
- Strong security-focused mindset for designing network solutions, particularly for remote and segmented environments.
- Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
- Experience in large, complex, international environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of firewall technologies (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, etc.).
- Familiarity with SASE, VPN (Cisco, F5), and Cloud Web Gateways (e.g., Skyhigh).
- Experience with network automation and management platforms.
- Understanding of trends and best practices in enterprise networking.
