Railway Project Manager – Spanish Speaking

Our client, a leading European provider of locomotive leasing solutions, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its growing team in Antwerp. With Responsibilities including new builds and ETCS retrofits, this role is critical to supporting our expanding project pipeline

What you’ll do

As Senior Project Manager, you’ll manage complex projects across Europe — from €10M ETCS retrofits to €150M new builds — with a strong focus on projects in Spain in the first 2 years. You’ll ensure quality, budget, and timelines are met while collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

• Lead full project lifecycle: contract review, kickoff, production, and delivery
• Track progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Act as main point of contact for external stakeholders (suppliers, authorities) and internal teams (commercial, engineering)
• Maintain transparency, manage supplier relationships, and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal project management practices
• Travel within Europe (approx 1–2 trips per month)

Who you are

• 5+ years of experience in project management
• Background in Civil or Industrial Engineering preferred
• Proven track record on complex, high-value technical projects
• Strong contract management and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Spanish and English – Spanish is essential for working with key suppliers and stakeholders
• Proactive, analytical, structured, and autonomous in your approach
• Experience in the railway sector is a plus, but we also welcome professionals from industries like aerospace or other complex technical fields
