Internal Auditor

Robert Half is currently recruiting an Internal Auditor to join an International Company.

Our client is located in the Mechelen region.

The scope of responsibilities for this job include:

• You carry out internal audits in the various branches. The focus areas are strategic advisory , operational excellence , quality of reporting and compliance .
• You cover all lines of business (Sales, purchase, inventory, financial, HR, IT, …) except for ISO, health & safety and cyber security.
• You summarize your findings in an audit report in which you prioritize attention points and formulate recommendations for both senior as local management.
• You need to check that group procedures and guidelines with regard to risk management and asset protection are respected.
• You identify improvement opportunities , both in terms of cost control, efficiency or risk reduction.
• You recognize opportunities that contribute to smoother, more accurate and better integrated financial or KPI reporting.
• You monitor and report KPIs periodically.
• You are asked to support or lead different improvement projects in collaboration with other departments.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• You have a Master's degree in Applied Economic Sciences/Business Engineering or equivalent through experience .
• You have a good knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS knowledge is an asset.
• You have a solid first internal/external audit experience, preferably in production companies.
• You are willing to travel .
• You have very good knowledge of English ; a good understanding of Dutch ; Knowledge of French & German is an advantage.
• You can work effectively with Excel .
• You have a pragmatic attitude, with an eye for waste and CIP opportunities.
• You are independent , persistent , and eager to learn.
• You are hands-on and have a can-do mentality.
• You have a critical , yet positive and constructive , solution - oriented attitude.
• You are a good communicator, who's able to communicate with both local colleagues as with senior management.
