Robotics Mechanical Designer (M/F)

In order to grow further, address new markets and better serve our customers, we are looking for a Robotics Mechanical Designer to join our R&D Mechanical Team, based in Wavre, Belgium.

Let’s talk about your role

As a first step, your priority will be to get acquainted with our products and way of working, and to contribute to the daily work of your team. Your role and responsibility will cover varied areas related to the robotics products and accessories :

• Create, structure, and maintain Bills of Materials (BoM) in the Solidworks PDM system.
• Generate and update exploded views and technical drawings from SolidWorks assemblies.
• Collaboration with production team to write and update production manuals and assembly instructions for internal use.
• Collaborate with the after-sales service team to prepare and maintain the spare parts catalog, including exploded views and part references for our distributors.
• Ensure consistency of technical data between CAD models, BoMs, and documentation.
• Support product change management and configuration tracking (revision control).
• Act as a link between R&D, production, purchasing, and service teams regarding product structure and documentation.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, production technology, or a similar technical field
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, particularly for creating exploded views and detailed assembly drawings.
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM) for BoM management is a plus.
• Ability to write clear, well-structured technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes.
• High level of accuracy, methodology, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Hands on approach to analyze assemblies from production and improve production tools (close contact with production and after-sales workshops).
• Working knowledge of technical English (written and spoken) to write technical documents and exchange with internal/external stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of French (written and spoken) to write internal documents and have close collaboration with production team (native French speaking workers).
• Familiarity with spare parts cataloging, after-sales support processes and/or product lifecycle is a plus.

Geographical scope
