Airport Systems Innovation Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Specialist to drive innovation in airport systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding and experience in business development, sales, and commercial growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Prospecting and managing leads: Identify and assess project opportunities, collaborate with various teams to create technically suitable and innovative solutions.
• Preparing financial models and offers: Conduct analyses, prepare commercial offers, and lead negotiations for significant project contracts in collaboration with different departments.
• Delivering input to commercial software solution developments on the tri-baggage solutions to improve functionality and earnings models.
• Defining (commercial) strategy in collaboration with the Department Manager to prioritize and invest for the future.
• Building relationships: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing persuasive proposals.
• Building partnerships: Create new relations with external partners to offer a complete solution to our clients.
• Contributing to a positive team dynamic: Build strong partnerships with operational managers and ensure a shared focus on achieving P&L objectives.

Key qualifications include:

• A degree in civil, industrial, or commercial engineering or a master's in an economics-related field.
• At least five years of experience in business development, sales, and commercial growth.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage complex projects, understand risks, and solve problems.
• Knowledge and experience in technical design, project management, coordinating various stakeholders, and closing transactions is a strong plus.
• Understanding of financial concepts.
• Able to build and maintain relationships with (potential) clients.
• Independent, flexible, and able to work in a multicultural/multilingual environment.
• Fluent in English and French with a good knowledge of the second national language Dutch.
