One of our clients is looking for a skilled Java Backend Engineer to join our growing team and help us develop high-performance, time-series-driven analytics platforms.Location: Hasselt, BelgiumEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience Level: Mid to SeniorHybrid workingWhat You’ll Do:Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Java and Spring BootBuild and optimize microservices architectures that handle high-throughput IoT dataWork with time-series databases and analytics frameworks to process and visualize large datasetsCollaborate with frontend, DevOps, and data engineering teams to ship production-quality featuresContribute to architecture decisions and performance tuningWhat We’re Looking For:3+ years of experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot)Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservicesHands-on experience with IoT platforms and time-series data processing (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, Apache Kafka, etc.)Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is a plusSolid understanding of system design, scalability, and security best practicesNice to Have:Experience with real-time streaming frameworks (e.g., Apache Flink, Kafka Streams)Background in analytics or visualization tools for IoT metricsExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Apply or get in touch with me at a.johari@gcstechtalent.com
