The Opportunity

As a Seamstress Intern at Dries Van Noten, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pattern team with garment retouches and alterations. Working closely with an experienced and dedicated team, you will help translate the brand’s unique vision into perfectly tailored pieces that reflect Dries Van Noten’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This hands-on experience offers a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of a luxury fashion house while contributing to the creation of timeless designs.

Your Tasks & responsibilities

• Assist the Pattern team with retouches and alterations on garments, ensuring precision and alignment with the brand’s aesthetic.
• Support in preparing samples and prototypes for fittings and production stages.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining impeccable quality.
• Help maintain the organization of sewing materials, patterns, and tools.
• Work closely with designers and the Pattern team to provide input on adjustments and solutions as needed.

Profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Fashion Design, Sewing, or Pattern Making program or something related.
• Proficiency in sewing techniques and garment construction.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to a creative team.
• Passionate about fashion and craftsmanship, with an appreciation for the Dries Van Noten aesthetic.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
