Lead Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and expert Hardware Engineer to take on a technical leadership role within our agile and international hardware team. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and developing care communication solutions for the elderly care and hospital market.

This is a unique opportunity to determine the full hardware development lifecycle of the healthcare product - from initial concept and architecture to prototyping and production. You’ll mentor fellow engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and help define the future of our product line. As you grow in this role, you’ll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities.

Your work will directly impact the daily lives of tens of thousands of patients and caregivers, improving safety, responsiveness, and quality of care across healthcare facilities globally.

Working as a Lead Hardware Engineer

• Lead and contribute to hardware development projects, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Define and decide on hardware architecture for new devices in collaboration with the team.
• Take ownership of the full hardware development lifecycle - from low-level design to complex, IP-connected systems.
• Estimate and manage product costs early in the development process.
• Ensure high standards are met in terms of deadlines, cost-efficiency, and product quality.
• Act as the primary technical contact for external partners and suppliers.
• Support budget planning and resource allocation for hardware initiatives.
• Explore and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance hardware development efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement in both product design and development processes.

About you

• Master’s degree in Hardware Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Proven track record in developing and delivering new hardware products within time, budget & scope.
• Strong communication skills, both internally and with external partners.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for learning and personal growth.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio systems.
• Familiarity with display technologies including screens and touch interfaces.
• Knowledge of CAN, BLE, PoE & microprocessors
• Knowledge of hardware standards, such as EMC, RED.
