Actuarial Associate – Belgium | Brussels

We are currently recruiting for an Actuarial Associate to join a leading non-life insurer based in Brussels. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic actuarial team supporting key areas such as reserving, capital modelling, and regulatory reporting.

This permanent position is ideal for a nearly or newly qualified actuary with strong technical capabilities, eager to broaden their exposure across multiple actuarial workstreams within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Duties for this role include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting and enhancing actuarial reserving processes across multiple lines of non-life business.
• Contributing to Solvency II and Belgian GAAP reporting, capital modelling, and assumption setting.
• Developing and maintaining actuarial tools, models, and data processes to support accurate reporting and analysis.
• Participating in cross-functional projects and providing actuarial input to business planning, ORSA, and regulatory submissions.

Skills Required:

• Nearly or newly qualified actuary with experience in the non-life (P&C) insurance sector.
• Proven exposure to reserving, regulatory reporting, or capital modelling.
• Familiarity with Solvency II requirements and actuarial tools such as ResQ, R, or similar is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
