We are currently looking for a highly motivated Paralegal in Brussels, Belgium, to join our legal team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive support and ensuring the smooth operation of the legal department (mainly corporate governance and housekeeping related matters, and corporate transactions). The role requires a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Whilst the role reports to the Chief Legal Officer, the paralegal will work closely with the Group Corporate and M&A Counsel. What You Will Do As Paralegal, you will be in charge of :
Support the Chief Legal Officer with legal document preparation and review (contracts, agreements, court filings).
Conduct legal research and compile information for ongoing cases and legal matters.
Maintain organized, up-to-date legal files and track critical legal deadlines.
Provide administrative assistance to the Chief Legal Officer, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence handling.
Manage corporate records for approximately 50 SCHRÉDER Group legal entities, including minutes, resolutions, and governance documents.
Coordinate Board and General Assembly meetings for legal entities, covering approvals, officer changes, and capital structure updates.
Prepare and file corporate documents with authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on corporate governance and compliance matters.
Create and update organizational charts and corporate overviews (e.g., board, proxies, shareholding structures).
Handle Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) filings and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) requests, maintaining UBO charts in coordination with other departments and manage company and UBO extracts, notarizations, legalizations, and apostilles, acting as liaison with notaries.
Assist with M&A activities and intercompany transactions.
Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
Organize document signatures using digital platforms or physical methods.
Support the management of external legal service providers and monitor legal budget and expenditures, process purchase requests and coordinate invoice approvals with the accounting department for legal services.

Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field or equivalent by experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal, preferably within a corporate legal department.
Proven expertise in preparing and maintaining corporate records, filings, and legal documentation.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with compliance management systems and corporate governance software.
Fluent in English & Fluent in either French or Dutch, with a good working knowledge of the other and a willingness to further develop language skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with legal research platforms and document management systems.
Understanding of e-filing systems and legal technology, with a willingness to develop AI-related skills.
