Accountancy Manager Accountancy Manager

To achieve this mission, we are building a world-leading research facility to overcome the complexity and challenges of iPSC lineage specification. Within our finance team in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Belgium) there is a position immediately available for a Senior Accountant. The selected candidate will report to the CFO. We are an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed international team in which everyone has the opportunity to make a decisive contribution. Primary Objective: Lead the stabilization of accounting operations, clear key backlogs, re-establish closing and reconciliation discipline in Netsuite, and coordinate audit preparation — while mentoring and supporting the internal team during transition. Team & Workflow Management: Supervise and support 2 FTEs (junior and senior staff). AP, AR, GL, and Audit streams. Prepare and review reconciliations for bank, AP, AR, payroll, intercompany. Ensure consistent documentation and audit trail. Netsuite Optimization in collaboration of ERP Finance lead: Liaise with internal support to resolve access and workflow issues. Review and document key finance processes (P2P, closing, reconciliations). Support Audit Preparation: Build audit binder: trial balance, reconciliations, supporting documents. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance ~10 years+’ experience in accounting operations ~ Strong knowledge of BEGAAP, IFRS and general accounting principles. Proven audit preparation experience (external audit, preferably Big 4 interaction). NetSuite power user — GL, reporting, period close, saved searches and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Prior experience with financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, and reporting under different legal frameworks is a strong asset. Strong managerial experience in leading small teams under pressure. Proactive mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
