Data Engineer

HAYS IT is assisting one of their clients, a logistics company, in their search for a freelance Data Engineer. The company is located in Antwerp.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and model datasets within Microsoft Fabric.
• Optimize data infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Manage and implement data governance, ensuring data security and quality.
• Monitor and maintain the CI/CD environment.
• Support the IT and Data Team in various projects.
• Collaborate on innovative projects and explore new technologies within Fabric and the broader Microsoft Data Stack.

The ideal candidate has:

• At least 3-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and data modelling. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI is a plus.
• Fluency in Dutch & English.
• A proactive and analytical mindset with a passion for data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
