For one of our clients, located in Zaventem, Hays is looking for a Senior Accountant Dutch/English: Financial Reporting: Handle VAT returns, balance sheets, and compliance with international standards (BE GAAP) while conducting reconciliations. Implement efficient accounting processes and internal controls and suggest improvements where necessary. Compliance and Audits: Ensure adherence to legislation and internal rules, and manage documentation during audits, following up on action points and recommendations. Contribute to budget creation and financial forecasts, monitoring performance and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with at least 5 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in accountancy software or ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with Belgian accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. In-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations (IFRS) Fluency in both Dutch and English A competitive salary along with a comprehensive range of benefits, including health and dental insurance, group insurance, meal vouchers, and a flexible benefits plan.
