Senior AI Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Software Delivery Center of Excellence (SDCoE). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI/ML and agentic architectures, with a passion for integrating advanced AI capabilities into our software delivery processes. This role involves developing and implementing AI-driven solutions, integrating various APIs, and optimizing our DevSecOps and SDLC processes.

Key Responsibilities:

AI/ML and Agentic Architectures:

•

Develop and implement AI/ML models and agentic architectures using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel for agent workflows, memory, and tools.

•

Integrate language models (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Mistral) via APIs for enhanced language model capabilities.

•

Enable agents to take structured actions through function calling and tool use orchestration.

•

Utilize vector databases for long-term memory and document search.

•

Fine-tune agent responses and capabilities through prompt engineering.

•

Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for effective querying of Confluence/Jira documents.

•

Design and implement multi-agent coordination patterns, such as planner-executor and supervisor-worker.

Software Engineering Tool Integration:

•

Integrate with Jira REST API/GraphQL, Bitbucket Cloud REST API, or Git command-line for seamless workflow automation.

•

Integrate with Atlassian to react to new events in Jira/Bitbucket.

•

Integrate MS Teams for chat-based agent interactions.

Data Engineering & Analysis:

•

Parse logs and summarize natural language content (e.g., commit messages, PRs, tickets).

•

Analyze time series and event data to detect bottlenecks and patterns.

•

Apply embedding techniques to represent documentation, issues, or discussions.

Cloud & Infrastructure:

•

Utilize containerization (Docker) for deploying agents.

•

Ensure observability of AI agents through cloud logging and tracing.

DevOps/SDLC Optimization Knowledge:

•

Understand and optimize SDLC stages (plan, analyse, development, test and deploy).

•

Track and improve DORA metrics (deployment frequency, change failure rate, lead time).

•

Experience with agile and scrum methodologies.

Security & Access Control:

•

Maintain audit logging and explainability for AI-driven actions.

Skills and Qualifications:

•

Minimum (Professional) Bachelor in Applied Computer Sciences or equivalent through experience.

•

At least 10 years of experience in SDLC and/or software delivery.

•

At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML and agentic architectures.

•

At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role in AI (CTO, lead architect,…) for a software product company.

•

At least 1 reference project in Machine Learning

•

At least 2 reference projects in Gen AI, preferable one on Agentic AI

•

Proficient in integrating APIs and developing function calling/tool use orchestration.

•

Experience with vector databases, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

•

Strong background in software engineering tool integration and data engineering/analysis.

•

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud logging/tracing.

•

Understanding of DevOps/SDLC optimization, including DORA metrics

•

Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies.

•

Proficient in English and Dutch or French.

•

Onsite 1 day/week. – Home working 1 day/week
