Are you a talented writer with a passion for search engines and AI? Rubio Monocoat, a global player in wood protection, is looking for an SEO Specialist who doesn’t just write for Google or Bing, but also thinks ahead to how we get found in AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and others.

You’ll join a vibrant digital team to elevate the visibility of multiple international brands and e-commerce platforms.

Your mission: write, structure, and optimize content that truly resonates with search intent, both human and AI.

Your role

• Develop and implement SEO strategies for multiple international webshops.
• Explore and implement strategies related to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Conduct keyword and prompt research, targeting both traditional and generative search platforms.
• Write smart, compelling, AI-friendly content: from landing pages and blog articles to product descriptions.
• Oversee the content and UX structure, while supporting basic technical health (crawlability, structured data, speed…).
• Manage redirect mapping during webshop migrations.
• Work on multilingual sites and tailor SEO strategies to local markets
• Collaborate closely with a skilled and multidisciplinary digital team, each contributing to the growth and performance of our international webshops.
• Explore AI-driven SEO tooling, structured data, and participate in CRO experiments alongside our performance team.
• Provide long-term, scalable SEO solutions.

Your profile

• Proven experience in SEO (2+ years), with a strong focus on content and site architecture.
• Skilled with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
• Solid understanding of CMS platforms like Shopify.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a love for collaboration and experimentation.
• A driven and passionate individual who goes the extra mile, with a healthy dose of ambition and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• A forward-thinking mindset — you’re excited about AI-driven visibility and innovation.
• A sharp pen (keyboard!) in both English and Dutch. French and other languages are a plus.
• Understanding of and experience with woodworking is an important asset.

Success in this role is measured by growth in organic traffic, improvement of keyword rankings, and technical site health.
