As a Power System Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out increasingly complex studies on grid development of electricity distribution with specialized calculation software (voltage management, overload, short-circuit values,...).
You formulate both operational and investment solutions for technical and congestion problems, taking into account risk, cost and performance.
You will work with new methods and technologies to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
Context
You will be part of a team of about 15 employees who, like you, carry out power system studies.
Main tasks:
You carry out studies for "very high power" electricity customers: based on customer demand, you calculate different connection scenarios using specialized software (NEPLAN), and propose a solution that meets the evolving needs of the grid user. To do this, you determine the technical-economic optimum and determine the preconditions that the installation and associated connection must meet.
You will carry out analyses/simulations of the electrical network in order to identify bottlenecks in a timely manner and propose solution alternatives, in order to guarantee the performance of the electrical network at an acceptable cost and with acceptable risk.
You will continue to work on data insights obtained from a combination of geospatial and big data analyses.
