Cloud "Air Gapped" Engineer

Are you a highly skilled and security-cleared Technical Consultant with a passion for cutting-edge technology? We are seeking an expert to deploy and support advanced, secure-by-design infrastructure solutions for a mission-critical proof of concept (PoC) with a major client in a high-security sector.

In this challenging, project-based role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the solution, from initial deployment and configuration to providing dedicated operational support. We are looking for a technical specialist with a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, networking, and infrastructure, who can excel in a secure, and often air-gapped, environment.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end installation and configuration of all physical and logical components for a proof of concept solution.
• Adhere to strict technical documentation, deployment checklists, and security protocols to ensure successful implementation.
• Provide dedicated, post-deployment operational support to the end client, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
• Manage, track, and resolve technical issues and incidents using a standard ticketing system (e.g., JIRA).
• Ensure system integrity and functionality, securing final validation and sign-off from the client.
• Create and submit clear, consistent reports on technical activities and project progress.

Your profile

• Essential Technical Skills:
• Containerization & Orchestration: In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and virtualization in K8s.
• Networking: Strong command of both basic and advanced networking, with expertise in Istio (Service Mesh) and Cilium.
• Security: Demonstrable experience with PKI and hardware firewalls.
• Operating Systems: Advanced skills in both Linux and Windows.
• DevOps & Automation: Practical experience with Ansible and GitLab.
• Monitoring: Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of storage systems.
• Mandatory Security and Nationality Requirements:
• You must hold a nationality that is compatible with NATO Secret activities.
• You must be in possession of an active SO (NATO Secret) and SUE security clearance. Proof of clearance will be required.
• You must be cleared to the TO level.
