We are working with a cutting-edge software company operating in the defence industry, delivering high-impact training support software systems to support national and international defence initiatives.

Based in Genk, Belgium, they specialize in secure, scalable systems that empower our clients across land, air, and cyber domains.

As they grow, they're looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong proficiency in React and Java to join their agile, forward-thinking team.

Your Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a vital part in the development of secure and robust applications, working across both frontend and backend stacks. You'll collaborate with engineers, product owners, and project managers to build tools that are not just technically sound, but crucial to the safety and training within the defence industry around the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using Java and React
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable applications
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design
• Travel occasionally (within Europe and beyond) to client sites for project implementation and support
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in security and software engineering

What They're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in full stack development
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and React.js
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Security-conscious mindset with a strong attention to detail
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to work 3–4 days per week onsite in Genk
• Ability and flexibility to travel when required

Nice to Have

• Experience working in or with the defence or aerospace industry
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of secure coding principles or certifications in cybersecurity
