HEDERA, a Belgian public institution created to manage the financial responsibility for nuclear liabilities transferred to the Belgian State, is seeking independent technical experts for its Technical Committee. The role involves advising on all technical matters relating to HEDERA’s mission, including: Evaluation of ONDRAF’s five-year and annual plans, Assessment of compensation payments and long-term radioactive waste management scenarios, Recommendations on financial provisions to be established.

Candidates must have at least 10 years’ proven experience in the nuclear sector, a Master’s degree in a relevant field, and experience in governance or similar committees. Fluency in French or Dutch and a good working knowledge of the other language is required. Strong analytical, risk management critical thinking, and communication skills, along with independance, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility, are essential.

The position offers a six-year renewable mandate.
