HR & Payroll Specialist

Take the next step of your career with international Payroll in a highly technical sector 🌍

On behalf of one of my long-standing partners—an established player in a highly technical sector with strong European reach—I am currently looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Officer to join their team in Wavre.

You’ll be stepping into a collaborative and human-centric work environment, where operational excellence is key, and where every team member has a real opportunity to make an impact. This is a people-first organization with a flat structure, agile decision-making, and a solid HR team committed to supporting both growth and innovation.

As HR & Payroll Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across several European countries (notably Belgium, France, and Luxembourg), in close coordination with local payroll providers. You’ll also provide operational support across a wide range of HR administration and employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly payroll cycles with precision, across multiple countries, via trusted external providers.
  • Work closely with tax experts and the Compensation & Benefits team to ensure compliant handling of complex cases such as expatriate contracts, international transfers, and dual employment setups.
  • Support HR administrative processes, including onboarding/offboarding, contract preparation, time-off management, and social documentation.
  • Act as an internal point of reference for social and tax legislation, particularly in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg.
  • Contribute to cross-functional HR projects aimed at improving systems, processes, and payroll administration tools.
  • Oversee the smooth administration of employee benefits (insurance, meal vouchers, pension plans, etc.).

Profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, payroll, or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in payroll and HR administration, ideally within an international context.
  • You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • You thrive in dynamic environments where adaptability, clear communication, and autonomy are essential.

Offer

  • A meaningful and visible role where your work directly supports both employees and strategic business goals.
  • The opportunity to work in a multicultural, international environment, in contact with stakeholders across several European countries.
  • A flexible hybrid work model, combining office-based collaboration in Wavre with 2–3 days of remote work per week.
  • A human-sized structure with fast decision-making, genuine collaboration, and a strong sense of team spirit.
  • Access to personal and professional development, with ongoing support, internal mobility opportunities, and training resources.
  • A culture of trust and autonomy, where initiative is valued and innovation encouraged.
  • Participation in cross-functional HR projects that allow you to shape and improve internal processes.
  • Involvement in a growing organization, where your expertise is recognized and career growth is truly possible.
  • A modern and accessible office in Wavre, with on-site facilities and easy commuting options.
  • A competitive salary package that includes a wide array of extra-legal benefits (meal vouchers, pension plan, healthcare insurance, and more).
