Digital Business Analyst - Expert (freelance)

We're seeking an experienced Digital Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions. You’ll play a critical role in digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders and delivery teams to design and implement effective digital solutions. Responsibilities:

• Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Act as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and refinements with cross-functional teams
• Drive product and process improvements through structured analysis and solution proposals
• Support digital solution delivery across front-end and back-end systems
• Ensure quality through rigorous documentation, validation, and user feedback
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across initiatives
• Contribute to roadmap planning and prioritization in agile environments

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in business or IT analysis
• Proven experience in digital transformation projects, ideally within complex or regulated environments
• Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Ability to conduct functional analysis using UML, BPMN, Gherkin, etc.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Balsamiq
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French (trilingual is a plus)
• Experience in financial institutions is a strong asset
• Understanding of workflows, system integrations, and product lifecycle
