Job Title: Cloud Architect (Templeton & Partners - Innovative & Inclusive Hiring Solutions)

Summary

A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Cloud Architect to play a key role in the transformation and modernization of IT systems within a high-security environment. You will help define and implement a future-proof cloud architecture strategy that meets evolving business and operational needs. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and architectural stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative cloud solutions.

Location: Brussels (Evere) – On-site only

Duration: 12 months

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours/ week

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the strategic vision for cloud architecture, aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud service providers and technologies based on technical and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate cloud migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Ensure all cloud solutions comply with established governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support service development and improvement projects.
• Document architectural decisions, patterns, and standards clearly and consistently.
• Work closely with fellow architects to align infrastructure and application needs.
• Maintain balance between automation, governance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud projects.
• Liaise with external vendors and partners to support integration and solution delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

Cloud Architecture & Deployment

Extensive experience in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions, with strong knowledge of modern cloud platforms and deployment models (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

Cloud Analysis

Proven expertise in assessing technical requirements and translating them into effective cloud strategies.

Governance & Compliance

Understanding of cloud governance principles, compliance standards, and ability to implement them in real-world projects.

Enterprise Architecture Frameworks

Familiarity with frameworks and modeling tools such as TOGAF, ITIL, UML, NAF, and ArchiMate.

Modelling Tools

Working knowledge of process modeling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect is an asset.

Language Requirements

• French, Dutch, English

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work in a regulated, sensitive environment with security protocols.
• Must be eligible and prepared to undergo formal security clearance procedures in line with legal requirements.
