EverZinc is seeking a Temporary Development Chemist to support an important zinc development project at our Zolder plant. Join us on a 3 month fixed-term contract and contribute directly to innovation within our inorganic chemistry operations.

Position Summary

As a Temporary Development Chemist, you will focus on the development and optimization of hydrometallurgical recipes. This hands-on role requires an entrepreneurial spirit and strong expertise in inorganic laboratory techniques, with the ability to work independently. You will collaborate closely with the plant and process engineer, reporting key findings and actively driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize inorganic chemistry recipes.
• Design and perform laboratory experiments independently, ensuring reliable and reproducible results.
• Analyze experimental data, propose process improvements, and document outcomes clearly.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility of recipes at plant scale.
• Present progress and recommendations to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry or a closely related field. Strong knowledge in Inorganic Chemistry is an asset.
• Proven experience in laboratory development of inorganic or zinc-based chemical processes.
• Strong skills in chemical synthesis, data analysis, and technical reporting.
