About the Role
A leading CAR T cell therapy manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer for a 4-month assignment to support the expansion of operational capacity at its Ghent site. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive improvements across operational support systems essential to GMP-compliant manufacturing. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production efficiency, compliance, and seamless execution of support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between Ghent operations and pre-processing activities (e.g., sterilization and kitting), ensuring effective communication and timely issue resolution.
- Analyze and report on KPIs to monitor production efficiency, material usage (scrap and yield), quality (NCs), and delivery performance (OOS, lead times).
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects aligned with site-wide objectives.
- Develop, review, and approve operational documentation (SOPs, work instructions), and support training across teams.
- Participate in change control boards and operational review meetings, focusing on improvement and compliance.
- Own and contribute to root cause investigations and CAPA development.
- Oversee non-cell processing material processes including consumables, gowning, and artwork.
- Support systems such as Site Risk Assessment Management, Access Rights, and Order Management.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in MSAT, Quality, or Operations, with exposure to at least two of these functions.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Project management experience or training is an advantage.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Willing to work on-site 5 days/week (limited remote work possible once fully established in the role).
