Full Stack Developer (Progress OpenEdge)

Location: Berchem (Hybrid – minimum 2 days/week onsite)

Role & Responsibilities

Join a collaborative Agile team working on the maintenance and development of a back-office insurance application. You’ll be involved in:

• Translating business needs into robust technical solutions
• Full-stack development (front and back-end)
• Designing and implementing features via Test Driven Development
• Participating in projects like transparency legislation, employee benefits platform, output management integration, and reporting
• Optimizing internal processes and reducing technical debt

Profile & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Progress OpenEdge development
• Strong with Progress Developer Studio, PASOE, SOAP/REST services, and Object-Oriented programming
• Familiarity with tools: Visual Studio, C++, HTML, SQL, Git, Azure DevOps, TFS, Confluence, etc.
• Agile mindset and a strong team player
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
• Affinity with the insurance or financial industry is a plus but not required
