Internal Auditor

Your future job

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial and independent role in continuously improving business processes and managing risks at Melexis & XFAB. You will provide independent and objective assurance and consulting services, using a risk-based approach, to add value and improve operations.

More specifically, you will:

• Plan audits by understanding organizational objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations. You will identify risk areas and prepare audit scope, objectives, and audit programs.
• Assess compliance with regulations and controls by executing audit program steps and examining and analyzing records, reports, and operating practices.
• Assess risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance, evaluating processes, and identifying process control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and operational issues.
• Perform thorough root cause analysis of non-compliance or fraud cases to identify appropriate recommendations and secure alignment of remediation plans with business partners.
• Communicate audit findings by preparing a final report to the respective audit committees after having discussed findings with auditees and executive management.
• Ensure continuous optimization of the managed area by initiating, formulating, and implementing new practices and managing related change requirements.
• If applicable, manage external stakeholders (suppliers, authorities, auditors, shareholders), taking Melexis and Xfab's best interests into consideration.
• Maintain strong relationships with management, external auditors, and key stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices and apply them to audits.

Your profile

• You hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
• You have approximately 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in an internal audit role within a public listed firm.
• You possess a strong understanding of compliance, business processes, and internal controls.
• You have a strong grasp of the business you support. You build relationships with business partners and seek opportunities through them.
• You are capable of expanding the framework, adding additional non-standard elements, and possess a significant level of interpretation.
• You are able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, interact with senior leadership and are capable of clearly articulating complex information.
• Apply strong analytical skills and a pragmatic approach to solve complex problems, effectively translating insights and communicating across diverse cultures.
• Regular international travel to our sites across Europe, Asia, and the US is required.
