SQL Server Consultant

🛠 About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on SQL Server Support Engineer to join the After Sales project team. Your mission? Keep the database environment running smoothly, tackle incidents head-on, and deliver small-scale developments based on user needs. You’ll work closely with business users and IT teams to resolve issues, optimize performance, and improve data flows.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and resolve user incidents (e.g. data quality, performance, system errors)
• Coordinate with other IT teams (e.g. network, cybersecurity) when needed
• Build and maintain SSIS packages and other ETL processes
• Implement small-scale developments based on business requirements
• Optimize SQL databases for speed, scalability, and reliability
• Support SQL and SSAS migrations
• Document and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in an IT support or data engineering role

Strong hands-on knowledge of:

• SQL Server (views, functions, procedures, jobs)
• SSIS (packages, variables, ETL flows)
• SSAS and DAX
• SQL Server sysadmin tasks
• GitHub for version control
• Analytical mindset with the ability to explain technical issues in plain language
• Proactive communicator who can support explanations with diagrams or visual aids
• A Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but skills and motivation matter most
