Planet Pharma is partnered with a leading fast growing Biotechnology company, who are currently hiring for Senior Laboratory Support Engineer within the Business Information Systems team based in Belgium, near Ghent.

In this role, as a BIS Laboratory Support Engineer you will support the IT laboratory applications and hardware within the R&D team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 2-3 IT and deskside support to R&D and lab teams, including troubleshooting hardware/software and supporting lab systems (e.g. LIMS, QMS, EMS).
• Configure and maintain lab and quality systems, ensuring operational continuity and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement IT solutions, support infrastructure projects, and manage service providers.
• Develop and maintain technical and procedural documentation, including SOPs, system diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
• Support cloud services (Azure & AWS), security measures, and automation of cloud infrastructure for lab and research platforms.

Main Requirements:

• Fully on-site role (office-based presence required)
• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
• Experience as a System Engineer, preferably in a pharma/biotech lab or GMP-regulated environment
• Proficient with cloud platforms, especially AWS or Azure (cloud certifications a plus)
• Versatile across all levels, from hands-on technical tasks and ticket resolution to project work and stakeholder interaction
• Knowledge of OKTA and Identity Access Management (IAM) systems
