Packaging Engineer

Ready to turn your packaging expertise into solutions that really make a difference? We’re looking for a Packaging Engineer ready to shape innovative solutions and make a real impact in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The Packaging Engineer will drive packaging initiatives to support both manufacturing and commercial needs. This includes new product launches, supplier transitions, line support, and package development.

In this role, you will design efficient and cost-effective packaging systems, manage projects, and provide expert guidance across the organization. You will also collaborate with the Global Artwork Center to review and develop printed packaging components.

💡 Your mission:

• Evaluate, recommend, develop and implement packaging materials/systems based on multiple factors and influence (i.e. operations, regulatory, marketing, quality, artwork center, etc.)
• Perform and/or coordinate material and packaging system testing as required by regulatory filing requirements
• Develop and execute test protocols and reports
• Collaborate with manufacturing sites on packaging development
• Lead or participate on project teams
• Support packaging component and/or equipment selection and validation
• Problem solve quality deviations that occur during manufacturing operations
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide technical assessments and support for key component changes
• Partner with Global Procurement to execute on aligned strategy, from vendor identification to implementation
• Support continuous improvements and packaging process robustness initiatives
• Develop and sustain a harmonized approach to packaging design
• Up to 15% travel to CMOs

🔍 What about you:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Packaging Engineering , ideally with deep expertise in at least one major product platform (biologics, MFAs, or pharmaceuticals)
• Strong background in packaging development involving glass, plastics, delivery systems, and sterilized components
• Knowledge of GMP standards
• Proven project management skills
• Proficiency in English & French
