Senior Test Engineer

Position: Senior Test Engineer

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Remote Work Possibility: Hybrid Setting

Type of Contract: Permanent Contract preferably

Mandatory Languages: English (C1 minimum) - French or Dutch (B2 minimum)

Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium.

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with a strong background in test automation, scripting, and agile methodologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of complex software solutions by designing and executing effective test strategies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Expertise in Agile Scrum and JIRA
• Strong knowledge of Confluence
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs
• Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell, or similar)
• Expertise in SQL for test data creation and validation
• Proven experience in test automation frameworks and tools
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies
• Proficiency with Testlink
• Experience conducting User Testing

Nice to Have:

• ISTQB Certification
• Experience in regulated or high-security environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
• Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
• Plan and execute user testing sessions, reporting bugs and follow-up actions in JIRA and Confluence
• Validate and test RESTful APIs
• Use SQL for data validation and test setup
• Document test cases and results using Testlink
• Apply best practices in test methodologies to deliver high-quality software
