Re-Imagine Europa (RIE) is a nonpartisan think tank that specializes in narratives, polarisation and building bridges to find shared solutions to the most pressing challenges of humanity – from climate change to migration, food systems, pandemics or taxation. Founded by President Valery Giscard d’Estaing, Re-Imagine Europa works with leading researchers and an extensive network of knowledge and strategic partners that include universities, NGOs, foundations, industry, media, and policymakers. We bring together different perspectives and expertise to develop better, and new solutions based on evidence. 


RIE is a Brussels-based International Non-Profit Organisation supported by leading foundations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Fundación La Caixa, and Novo Nordisk Foundation, as well as funded projects of the European Commission.  


Description 


We are seeking a dynamic intern with some experience in content production and social media management to join its communications team and support their work. The selected intern will collaborate with Re-Imagine Europa’s communication and policy teams in all the activities related with Communications and Events for RIE and the European projects in which the organisation participates. Professional knowledge of English and knowledge of Flemish is required, French will be an added value. Basic proficiency in the production of content, social media management, as well as basic knowledge of graphic content editing is a must.  


The position will be located at RIE’s office in Brussels. 


Your main responsibilities: 


The day-to-day work, under the guidance of the Communications director and officers, will include:  


  • Produce content about RIE’s work and projects.  
  • Manage social media channels and produce quantitative and qualitative data from all digital channels (websites, social media profiles). 
  • Prepare communication materials; 
  • Edit graphic and video content; 
  • Manage and update RIE’s database of contacts through their customer relationship management systems (CRM); 
  • Help in the organisation of events, workshops and seminars. 
  • Support the organisation’s outreach work; 
  • Support the team in daily administrative tasks. 


Requirements:  


  • Written and oral fluency in English and Flemish is required; proficiency in French or another EU language is considered an asset; 
  • Strong interest in EU institutions/policymaking; 
  • Knowledge and some experience in web and social media content production; 
  • Basic knowledge of graphic and video editing tools (Adobe, Canva, Filmora or similar); 
  • Experience in working autonomously and in teams; 
  • Ability to manage and work remotely with team members located in various countries; 
  • Manage and maintain lists and contact details through CRM software. 
  • Understanding of project management will be considered an asset.  


What we offer: 


  • A 6-month “Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle” contract 
  • Starting date: The optimal starting date would be mid-September 
  • Meal voucher amounting to € 7.00/worked day - with an employee contribution of € 1.09/voucher 
  • Intervention in the cost of public transport 
  • Conditional on approval of the internship by Brussels Formation
