AGFA HealthCare - Software Development Team Lead

Your role & responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of experienced software engineers through the full development lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to delivery and maintenance.
• Scrum Facilitation: Plan and lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, demos, product refinement and retrospectives.
• Support Agile Excellence: Act as a coach and facilitator to promote agile values, continuous improvement, and team self-management.
• Deliver Results: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of software features and enhancements in collaboration with the Product Owner and stakeholders.
• Remove Obstacles: Identify and eliminate impediments to keep the team focused and productive.
• Foster Growth: Set goals, evaluate performance, and support career development for your team members.
• Promote Transparency: Act as an information radiator, providing visibility into progress, risks, and metrics.
• Drive Innovation: Champion new ideas, processes, and technologies to enhance team output and software quality.

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3+ years of experience leading software development teams in an agile environment
• 3+ years of Scrum Master experience in multidisciplinary teams
• Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Java, Angular
• Experience with agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, GIT, Eclipse
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills
• Ability to manage change constructively and promote a culture of learning and adaptability
• Language requirements:
  • English: Fluent
  • Dutch: Very Good

• Experience with medical software or regulated environments
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
• Passion for healthcare innovation and improving patient outcomes
