Full-Stack Engineer - Ghent

Dalton helps websites improve themselves. We're building a platform that continuously analyzes user behavior and automatically adapts UX and performance to maximize impact — no manual A/B testing, no guesswork.

We're an early-stage startup, just 7 months in. But in that time we've:

• Built and shipped the first version of our product
• Onboarded multiple recurring customers
• Raised pre-seed funding from top-tier angels (founders/operators of Belgian unicorns — announcement soon)
• Joined the Wintercircus hub in Ghent, one of the most exciting startup spaces in the country

We're now hiring a full-time engineer to join us at the core of Dalton’s journey. If you’re a strong full-stack builder looking for real ownership, autonomy, and impact — we’d love to talk.

What You’ll Do

• Build key product features across the stack (TypeScript, React, Python)
• Collaborate closely with the founders (you’ll be working directly with our CTO)
• Help shape architectural decisions as we scale the platform
• Bring new ideas to the table — you’ll be involved in product thinking, not just coding
• Work on real customer problems and see the results of your work quickly
• Help define our technical culture and future team

What We’re Looking For

You should:

• Be confident in TypeScript, React, and Python — this is essential
• Understand full-stack systems: APIs, databases, frontend performance
• Have a track record of shipping well-structured code quickly
• Enjoy working independently but thrive in a collaborative environment
• Willing to work at least 3 days/week on-site

Bonus Experience

• Working on UX, web performance, or conversion optimization
• Web analytics or A/B testing
• ML/AI in applied contexts like personalization or recommendations
• Thinking like a product owner: balancing speed, value, and usability
