Data Steward/Engineer

We are looking for a Data Steward/Engineer for a client in Brussels, who will play a key role in the migration and governance program of the data platform. The team supports the transition from on-prem systems to a hybrid cloud environment (Azure) with a strong focus on data lineage, governance, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of data lineage & governance processes within the corporate data platform.
• Build and maintain metadata-driven flows.
• Collaborate with the DBA team and business owners to implement data quality scores and governance standards.
• Document dataflows, lineage, and governance activities.

Requirements

• Junior/Medior profile
• Experience with SQL, Synapse, Spark
• Understanding of data lineage, governance, and metadata management.
• Strong documentation skills and willingness to also take on support tasks.
• Language: Dutch and/or French & English
