Credit Officer

Nexeo Belgium is looking for a Credit Officer to join one of our key clients in the banking sector. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients applying for consumer credit and play a key part in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and customer-centric loan process.

As a Credit Officer, you will:

📞 Handle incoming credit applications by phone:

• Guide customers through their loan application and ensure all necessary information is collected efficiently.
• Offer tailored credit solutions based on the client’s financial profile and needs.
• Deliver professional financial advice, acting as the client's trusted advisor.
• Ensure timely and accurate follow-up of open cases to finalize credit files as quickly as possible.
• Provide clear information to customers regarding the status of their application.
• Leverage your commercial mindset to identify cross-selling opportunities.

📝 Manage credit application follow-up:

• Review and validate contracts, supporting documents, legal clauses, and client signatures for compliance.
• Arrange for the release of funds once the file is approved.
• Assist clients in resolving any discrepancies or non-compliant elements in their file.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in banking or call center environments.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Strong commercial mindset, client-oriented and motivated to reach targets.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Structured, rigorous, and stress-resistant.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, phone-based environment.

Languages:

• French: Fluent (spoken and written)
• Dutch: Fluent (spoken and written)
• English: Professional knowledge

Tools:

• Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Working conditions:

• Location: Brussels
• Telework: 50% remote / 50% on site after 3 months
• Contract: Long-term consultancy mission
