Business Developer – Pharma APIs

(part of the highly successful Belgian group Floridienne) gathers the Life Sciences activities & specializes in the extraction and purification of natural performant bioactive with high added value for innovative and worldwide applications in pharma, food, and cosmetic & wellness industries.

Your Mission

As Business Developer – Pharma APIs, you will play a strategic role in expanding our presence in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong focus on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Your main objective is to drive revenue growth and market expansion over a 3–5-year horizon, positioning Natix as a trusted partner for pharma companies worldwide.

This role requires a scientific background (Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field) combined with strong business development experience. You will act as a credible partner to R&D and procurement teams in pharma companies, while driving commercial opportunities globally.

Your Roles

1. Business Development & Sales Strategy

• Develop and execute a strategy to grow API sales in pharma, focusing on pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT), anti-inflammation, gut and skin health.
• Identify and convert new opportunities globally,

2. Client Relationship Management

• Build, nurture, and manage strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies & CDMO’s
• Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships.

3. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure products meet international regulatory standards.
• Support customers in their DMF (Drug Master File) submissions in close collaboration with our QA team.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D, QA, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing to align development with market needs.
• Provide scientific and technical input to support product positioning.

5. Sales & Market Impact

• Contribute to setting and achieve annual sales targets.
• Develop new revenue streams and business cases to support strategic growth.
• Stay on top of industry trends and innovations (e.g., green chemistry) to shape strategy.

What You Bring

• A Master degree in Life Sciences (biology, chemistry, pharmacy, or related).
• Proven experience in Business Development in APIs pharma sector.
• Ability to combine scientific credibility with commercial acumen.
• Strong proficiency in English (essential); French is a strong asset.
• Willingness and availability to travel extensively worldwide (≈30%).
• Residency / valid work permit in Belgium is required (in specific cases, freelance collaboration within Europe may be considered).
• A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Work Environnement & Conditions

• Full-time position: 39 hours per week (office hours), from Monday to Friday.
• Competitive salary package aligned with market standards including lunch vouchers, CCT90 & individual bonus based on company & individual performance

• Hybrid work organization, with a minimum of 3 days on-site (min 2 days in Villers-le-Bouillet) when not travelling.
• Extensive international travel is required to build and maintain key client relationships.
