Botronics is redefining the game of golf with robotics. Its flagship product, iXi, is the world’s first autonomous golf trolley, designed to offer golfers an effortless, hands-free experience on the course. Botronics is a dynamic startup passionate about blending autonomy, smart design, and user experience to create innovative solutions in sports robotics.



To support its growth, Botronics is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer (M/F/X) to join its team in Belgium.



SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER



Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and industrialization of Botronics’ autonomous golf trolley iXi. You will bring technical expertise, creativity, and practical experience to ensure the reliability, functionality, and scalability of the product.



The main responsibilities are:

- Lead the mechanical design and development of components and assemblies.

- Ensure designs meet functional requirements, safety standards, and manufacturing constraints.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, industrial design) to integrate mechanical systems into the product.

- Develop prototypes, perform tests, and refine designs based on results and feedback.

- Support suppliers and manufacturing partners in the industrialization process.

- Document designs, specifications, and testing results with precision and clarity.


Profile

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design, including DFM (Design for Manufacturing), dimensioning, tolerancing, and surface finish specifications.

- Proven ability to resolve mechanical issues through thoughtful and innovative design solutions.

- Experience with manufacturing processes such as aluminum, metal fabrication, die casting, and extrusion.

- Hands-on experience with hinges and mechanical/electromechanical assemblies.

- Background working in small to medium-sized companies is essential.

- Industry experience in at least one of the following areas is required: home appliances, automotive/motorbikes, or bicycles.

- Strong 3D CAD skills and ability to translate concepts into robust technical designs.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.
