Legal Officer


SECO Group is looking for a Legal Officer with a business law background to strengthen our Legal Office in Diegem.



This role combines commercial contract work with corporate governance support across the BENELUX region, offering a unique opportunity to work on both operational and strategic matters.



Your role:

In Commercial Law & Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including:
  • o Service Agreements (clients)
  • o Employment-related contracts (SLAs, consultancy agreements)
  • o Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • o Partnership Agreements
  • o Commercial Lease Agreements
  • Act as a point of contact for business teams, providing pragmatic advice and templates to streamline contracting processes.
  • Optimize contract lifecycle management, ensuring timely execution, renewal, and archiving.


In Corporate Governance & Legal Compliance

  • Coordinate and provide support for Board meetings and General Assemblies for all group entities across BENELUX;
  • Ensure accurate preparation and execution of corporate governance documents: minutes, resolutions, proxies, statutory filings (with the commercial registers and Belgian Gazette);
  • Liaise with various stakeholders (Board members, Shareholders, Daily Management, Auditors, law firms and notarial offices) to ensure accuracy and timely submission of corporate filings to relevant authorities.
  • Corporate Housekeeping & Legal Compliance: maintain accurate records of the group’s legal structure.


In Cross-Business Projects

  • Collaborate across functions on commercial, governance, compliance and insurance initiatives.
  • Support on transactions (acquisitions, reorganizations).




Your profile:

  • Degree in Law (Business Law focus)
  • Min. 5 years of relevant (inhouse) experience in a legal role, with a focus on commercial law in Services and a strong background in the service industry
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance
  • Fluent in French, Dutch, and English
  • Detail-oriented and pragmatic, with excellent organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, solution-oriented, and ownership-driven
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
