Following recent changes within the Finance & Admin team and in line with the ambition to become even more data-driven, Krones FBL is currently looking for a (f/m/x)

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE LEAD


Mission / Scope of the role:


The Operational Excellence Lead is a transversal function supporting the different businesses of Krones France, Belgium and Luxembourg in its strategic decision-making process.

The relevant Business Processes are:

  • Sales
  • After Sales (Spare Parts, Service)
  • IT
  • Supply Chain
  • Finance
  • Compliance
  • HR
  • Procurement

The Operational Excellence Lead will ensure:

  • Efficient Data Management and reporting;
  • Documentation and Maintenance of Business Processes ;
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities for efficiencies, using automation tools
  • Monitoring of daily activities;
  • Development of Business Decision tools;
  • Development of Continuous Improvement culture.


Your Position:


As Operational Excellence lead, you will play a key role in the decision-making process by providing adequate data-based tools and information. You will analyze and interpret business processes, define and monitor KPIs, and report actionable insights to management. Your role requires strategic thinking, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. You will work within the constraints of centrally governed IT systems, requiring creativity and adaptability to achieve results.


Operational Excellence, Data & Process Optimization for Krones FBL means:

  • Analyzing and interpreting operational processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Defining, monitoring and reporting on KPI’s related to order processing, invoicing, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Presenting KPI results to management, defending interpretations and proposing corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to validate and implement process improvements.
  • Applying principles such as Lean, process mapping, and continuous improvement to optimize workflows.
  • Creating and maintaining business reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and MSSQL. Reporting frequency varies depending on the type of report: daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • Working within the constraints of centrally managed IT systems (defined by the Krones headquarters), finding creative ways to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Acting as a bridge between operations and finance, ensuring alignment of data, processes, and business goals.
  • Supporting the organization in reviewing and optimizing existing workflows and systems.
  • Ensuring updated processes are embedded in daily operations and respected by the team.
  • Helping the roll-out of upgrades of existing software or implementation of new software.
  • Centralizing data from different data sources to have a base for powerful reporting. A central MSSQL DB is already in place and some data tables are already active. Our main data sources are: SAP ERP R/3 (will move to SAP 4 Hana) - Salesforce (CRM + planning module) - Krones invoicing (Oracle Database) - Spare part follow-up (MSSQL DB).

Your Profile as potential Operational Excellence Lead @ Krones FBL:


  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably with IT orientated towards Data management and Lean concepts.
  • You have a strong interest for working in a technical environment.
  • Proven experience in operational/process management.
  • Experience in large organizations with centralized IT governance is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP and Supply chain processes.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI. Knowledge of power query and power automate is a plus.
  • You are familiar with Lean principles, process mapping, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • You combine an analytical mindset with proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI and MSSQL.
  • You are skilled in KPI definition, monitoring and interpretation and take pride in transforming data into actionable insights that support business decisions.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English and French. Knowledge of Dutch would be an asset but no necessity.

  • No regular travel is expected for this role, apart from occasional exceptions. The position allows for two days of remote work per week.
