Data & Risk Officer / Project Manager

🔍 About the Role

As Data & Risk Officer / Project Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and work closely with the Risk Manager, operational teams, and support functions across Gambit and the BNP Paribas Group. You’ll play a pivotal role in steering risk-related activities, shaping data strategy, and deploying AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Risk Management

• Act as the primary back-up to the Risk Manager on key topics such as RCSA, control plans, incident management, IT risk, third-party oversight, and procedure governance.
• Co-design and implement Gambit’s internal control framework.
• Strengthen the control environment through incident analysis and resolution.
• Drive closure of internal and external audit recommendations.
• Promote and deploy control-related policies across the organization.

Data Governance

• Define and implement Gambit’s data and information strategy in collaboration with Risk, IT, Cybersecurity, Finance, and PMO teams.
• Deploy and govern the data management framework, ensuring alignment with BNP Paribas Group standards.
• Promote a data-driven culture and ensure effective use of tools such as Power BI, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Copilot.
• Oversee the integration and adoption of AI tools, including analysis, proof-of-concept, and validation processes.
• Ensure consistency and availability of internal referentials across the company.

GDPR & Data Protection

• Monitor GDPR operational requirements in collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and HR.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for BNP Paribas on GDPR-related data topics.
• Maintain the Record of Personal Data Processing Activities (RoPA) via BNP Paribas’s Data Protection Hub.

Reporting & Tools

• Maintain and enhance the Power BI-based P&L datawarehouse for PMO.
• Propose and implement continuous improvements to reporting tools and processes.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• University degree or equivalent.
• Experience in IT, software development, or data-related projects is a strong asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Power BI, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Copilot is highly desirable.
