Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HV infrastructure from planning through to energisation, including substations, switchgear, transformers, and utility connections
• Oversee construction sequencing, safety processes, commissioning readiness, and energisation planning
• Coordinate with utilities, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), contractors, and internal project teams to align technical deliverables
• Drive resolution of technical issues and risks while ensuring compliance with standards and quality requirements
• Manage technical reviews, submittals, and inspection documentation
• Support the management of variations and changes relating to the HV scope
• Attend and lead progress and commissioning meetings with key stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong experience in both leading and delivering HV electrical systems on large-scale or complex construction projects
• Background in engineering or construction, ideally with specific experience in HV or energy infrastructure
• Sound knowledge of utility protocols, commissioning practices, and safety standards relating to HV systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to safety and quality
