VASS BeNeLux, in partnership with the European Commission, is currently seeking an Expert Enterprise Architect (024339) to work from the European Commission.

The role:

• Manage projects across all lifecycle phases, ensuring deadlines, quality, and resources.
• Supervise teams/subcontractors and enforce project procedures.
• Coordinate stakeholders and ensure clear, timely communication.
• Report on progress, risks, issues, and changes; escalate when needed.
• Produce and review project and technical documentation.
• Evaluate technical solutions and ensure system interoperability.
• Support DevSecOps practices and administer tools (Jira, Jenkins, Nexus, etc.).
• Manage secure CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud/container environments.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to TAXUD Digital Shared Services (eArchiving, Kafka, Elastic Stack, etc.).

You have:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating DevSecOps and S-SDLC practices.
• Work on code/scripting (e.g., Groovy) and administer IT systems, particularly Linux.
• Strong background in security, including audits, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and compliance (GDPR, ISO2700X, NIST).
• Expertise with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Tanzu, Nutanix) and cloud (AWS).
• Experience with shared services such as Kafka, Confluent, and Elastic Stack, especially from a security perspective.
• Agile working experience, with ability to document processes and produce high-quality deliverables using Confluence (or similar tools).
• Proven track record in large-scale, complex enterprise environments, not just small companies.
• Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security, ITIL, Agile) are valuable assets but not mandatory.
