Freelance E&I Engineer | Mining Industry

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to support engineering activities in the mining industry. The role involves reviewing electrical drawings in EPLAN and performing MV/LV cable sizing and calculations in CanecoBT, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and update electrical drawings in EPLAN.
• Perform medium- and low-voltage cable sizing/calculations using CanecoBT.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and optimize design.
• Provide technical reports and documentation to support engineering deliverables.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an E&I Engineer within heavy industry, ideally mining or similar sectors.
• Proficiency in EPLAN (electrical design/drawings) and CanecoBT (MV/LV cable calculations).
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Degree in Electrical / E&I Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
• Available for freelance/project-based assignments.
