Information Security Specialist (Data & Document Expert)

Our client, a global digital consultancy are looking for a looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist to join their international team and support a large EU Institution to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that protect critical information across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate backend systems with secure messaging software
• Define and maintain secure protocols and specifications (ebMS3, AS4, XML)
• Ensure systems meet the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Apply and manage PKI & X.509 certificates for document protection
• Perform security testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis
• Support teams with best practices in cryptography, TLS, OAuth2, OpenID
• Contribute to security planning and documentation

Key Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in security, data/document handling, or messaging systems
• Strong background in PKI, certificates, and secure communication standards
• Solid knowledge of Linux infrastructure operations
• Hands-on experience with TLS, OAuth2, OpenID
• Excellent English communication and documentation skills (C1 level or higher)

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with EU institutions or large international projects
• Knowledge of TPM/HSM cryptographic hardware
• Security certifications (e.g. SANS, CISSP, CISM)
