Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer – SolidWorks | West-Flanders - Aug–Oct 2025

About:

Our client, acting in the food & beverage sector, is looking for 2 experienced Mechanical Design Engineers. This is a 3-month freelance project with a high chance of extension, focusing on the design of conveyor-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems (mainly conveyors and components) using SolidWorks
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure technical alignment
• Revise and adapt designs per internal standards and feedback
• Ensure proper use of PDM systems for documentation and version control

Requirements:

• Solid experience with SolidWorks for mechanical design
• Familiarity with PDM tools and structured design workflows
• Experience in conveyor systems or the food & beverage industry is a plus
• English fluency required; Dutch or French is a bonus

Location:

Onsite 5 days/week in West Flanders, Belgium

Duration:

• 1st of August – October 2025 (3 months)
• Full-time, standard working hours
• Extension possible depending on project needs
