As a Functional Analyst in the Analyses Chapter, you will join a team of highly talented and motivated analysts in the domain of Operational Planning Competencies.br/ This domain designs and delivers IT solutions for the planning and competency management of various operational resources, such as drivers, conductors, station staff, equipment, and more.br/ You will work on the APS project and other related projects within the domain of Operational Planning.br/ These projects aim to further digitalize and optimize operational planning services.br/ You will be a key player in a three-step process: translating business needs into functional analyses, and then into clear and specific technical deliverables.br/ In this role, you will have the direct opportunity to shape project outputs and contribute to delivering increasingly better services.br/ br/ h2Function /h2 br/ What do we expect from you?br/ br/ ul liYour past experiences show engagement, self-starting ownership. /li liYou have been analyzing smaller projects as well as multi-year / multi-million SW development projects. /li liYou possess a good understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies in theory and in practice. /li liYou have analyzed demands that were complex with regards to unclear requirements, many data /li lidependencies with long sequence diagrams, changing requirements. /li liYour assignments cover structured eliciting of business needs and requirements. /li liYour assignments cover prioritized translation into detailed work instructions for the implementation team. /li liYour assignments show ownership of the solution being implemented including the definition of acceptance criteria, monitoring of quality assurance and even participation to testing. /li liYou have experience in the business change management related to product increments. Documenting training material and even giving training is not new. /li liTechnical and architectural comfort based on education as well as experience in technical side of SW development. /li liNext to your project work you are fully engaged to analyse evolutions, maintain the life cycle and provide L2-4 support to legacy applications. /li /ul br/ h2Job requirements /h2 br/ Your pretty exhaustive skills set...br/ ul liA Functional Analyst in software development projects needs a diverse set of skills to effectively bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. /li liWe expect you to excel in as many of the following competencies as possible.· Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data and systems to identify issues and opportunities. /li liHolistic Understanding: Allows you to see the big picture, understanding how different components of the project fit together. /li liTechnical Knowledge: Understanding of IT and computer science principles, including clould technology, architectureal designs, knowledge of data warehousing, SQL... and advanced Excel capabilities. /li liSoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Familiarity with the stages of software development and methodologies like Agile and Scrum. /li liRequirements Gathering and Documentation: Proficiency in eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements. /li liCommunication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. /li liInterpersonal Skills: Ability to work well within a team, often involving cross-functional collaboration. /li liProblem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying problems and developing practical solutions. /li liProject Management: Skills in planning, organizing, and managing activities and resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. /li liThe ideal candidate has proven experience in developing software within the domain of transport planning. Experience in developing software for railway traffic planning is a strong asset. /li /ul br/ h2Offer /h2 br/ Conformity criteriabr/ ul liCan work onsite (Brussels) min 2x/week /li liYou possess professional proficiency in English and in Dutch or French and you understand the 3rd language /li liYou have 5+ years of experience as Functional Analyst in software development for both planning tools and other software solutions /li liAs a Functional Analyst you have experience in public transport ánd you understand planning processes of such transport /li liYou have experience as an application owner to maintain and support legacy applications by analyzing and managing small evolutions /li liYou have worked with and understand the processes in Azure DevOps and/or Jira-Confluence to manage the project's backlogs /li /ul
